ShiftSend is a web app that helps teenagers and job seekers save time applying for jobs by finding job leads, preparing application emails, tracking outreach, and managing sending limits. This privacy policy applies to ShiftSend and is hosted as a dedicated HTML page at shiftsendapp.com.
This policy explains how ShiftSend collects, uses, stores, shares, protects, retains, and deletes account data, job application data, payment data, and Google user data.
Information ShiftSend collects
- Account information such as name, email address, login details, and subscription status.
- Payment and billing information processed by Stripe, including payment status and plan details.
- Job search preferences such as location, business categories, preferred roles, and daily limits.
- Job lead data such as business names, websites, email addresses, locations, and outreach status.
- Uploaded documents and notes such as CV files, motivation letters, file names, extracted text, and language detection.
- Email content such as draft application text, recipient addresses, selected CV attachment names, and sending history.
- Support messages sent to ShiftSend, including contact details and issue descriptions.
Google user data ShiftSend accesses
When a user signs in with Google or connects Gmail, ShiftSend may receive Google user data needed for the requested feature. This may include the user's Google account email address, basic profile identifier, OAuth tokens needed to keep the Gmail connection active, and Gmail send permission status.
ShiftSend requests Gmail send access so it can send job application emails that the user has reviewed and approved. ShiftSend does not request permission to read Gmail inbox messages, delete emails, manage labels, change Gmail settings, or scan private messages.
How ShiftSend uses information

- To prepare AI-assisted application email drafts using the user's CV, motivation notes, preferences, and selected job leads.
- To send approved application emails from the user's connected Gmail account with the selected CV attached.

- To provide customer support, detect misuse, and improve product reliability.
How ShiftSend uses Google user data
ShiftSend uses Google user data only to provide or improve user-facing ShiftSend features that the user requests. For Gmail, this means connecting the user's Gmail account, checking whether Gmail send access is connected, and sending application emails only after the user approves them.
ShiftSend does not use Google user data for targeted advertising, personalized advertising, retargeted advertising, interest-based advertising, user advertisements, credit-worthiness decisions, lending purposes, selling to data brokers, providing to information resellers, or training AI models.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. ShiftSend does not store full credit card numbers on this static website. Stripe may collect and process payment details according to its own privacy practices.
Email and Gmail data
ShiftSend uses Gmail access only to send job application emails that the user has approved. The app asks for the Gmail send permission so approved application emails can be sent from the user's Gmail account. ShiftSend does not use Gmail access to read inbox messages, delete emails, manage labels, change Gmail settings, or scan private messages.
ShiftSend's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Sharing, transfer, and disclosure
ShiftSend may share information with service providers needed to operate the product, including payment processors, hosting providers, database providers, cloud storage providers, email services, AI generation providers, analytics providers, and support tools.
ShiftSend does not sell personal information or Google user data. ShiftSend does not transfer or disclose Google user data to third parties except as needed to provide or improve the user-facing features described in this policy, comply with law, prevent abuse, or protect ShiftSend and its users.
Security and data protection
ShiftSend uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect account, document, job lead, email, payment, and Google user data. These safeguards may include HTTPS, access controls, server-side API processing, encrypted token storage where applicable, restricted cloud storage access, database access controls, and logging for security and reliability.
No internet service can guarantee perfect security, but ShiftSend limits access to user data to systems and personnel that need it to operate, support, secure, or improve the service.
Retention
ShiftSend keeps personal information for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, process refunds, and maintain business records. Account, subscription, usage, lead, draft, document, and Gmail connection records may be retained while the account is active.
When data is no longer needed for the purposes described in this policy, ShiftSend deletes it or keeps only records that are required or permitted for legal, payment, tax, fraud-prevention, security, or accounting purposes.
Account and data deletion
Users may request account deletion, document deletion, Gmail disconnection, or deletion of stored job search data by contacting support. Some payment, tax, fraud-prevention, and legal records may be retained where required by law or legitimate business needs.

Policy updates
ShiftSend may update this privacy policy if the service or data practices change. If ShiftSend materially changes how it uses Google user data, the policy will be updated and users will be notified where required.
